In our last lesson we were practicing the vowel sound /3ːl/ : some words that have this sound are: world, word, girl, bird, urge, third, nurse. 

We also listened to John Something talk about his wonderful job as a paper boy. We all agreed that his was a better life than most people´s. He had an American accent so his te sound was hardly noticeable. 

We started with the topic That´s what friends are for and learned what surveys show men and women usually look for in a partner. Students read a dialogue and were practicing it. New words are: arrange, a record aof achievement, leadership qualities, selflessness, playfulness. 

For homework, remember tu match the sentences in column A of Ex. A with the most appropriate relative clause in column B.
